We’re absolutely thrilled to share some fantastic news.
Our very own Nick Ingham has officially been crowned Runnymede Sports Coach of the Year.
Anyone who’s spent time on court with Nick will know this is a well-deserved recognition.
From his very first swings at Knowle Hill Tennis Club as a six-year-old, to becoming our LTA Level 3 coach, Nick’s journey has been rooted right here at Knowle Hill Tennis Club, his passion for the sport, and for our community, shines through in everything he does.
Whether you’re a nervous beginner, a junior learning the ropes, or an adult dusting off your racket for the first time in years, Nick’s ability to make you feel welcome, encouraged, and inspired is second to none.
Here’s why the award couldn’t have gone to a more deserving winner:
He’s grown a buzzing junior programme, packed with energy, fun and development (and the odd chocolate medal).
He brought Cardio Tennis to Knowle Hill, turning tennis into a dynamic fitness session that regularly books out.
He’s helped the club grow to its biggest ever membership, over 230 members and counting.
He still finds time to organise events, socials, holiday camps, tournaments and even making the most of our portable floodlights.
But beyond all that, it's the feedback that really says it best:
“He makes the game fun again.”
“My child’s confidence has soared.”
“Nick brings the club to life.”
Whether rain or shine, Nick’s energy never wavers. He’s there with a smile, a plan, and a genuine desire to help every player improve, and enjoy the game along the way.
So from all of us at Knowle Hill Tennis Club... Congratulations Nick — Runnymede Sports Coach of the Year!
We’re proud and grateful to have you as part of our club.
